IMPORTANCE OF YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN INDIAN POLITICS

CAN THE YOUTH OF THIS COUNTRY CHANGE WHAT IS WRITTEN?

With a country having an expected 33.4% share of youth in total population, representation of youth in Indian politics is still minuscule to this very day only. Question arises can the youth change the fate of this country? The country desperately needs energetic and diligent leaders. Since independence Indian politics has been confided to experienced leaders, which seems anachronistic in our contemporary society. Youth has forever played pivotal role in shaping the course of India. Considering the case of Arun Jaitley, former finance minister Jaitley was 22 years old, finishing law college at Delhi University, and preparing to help coordinate a movement of student protesters that was bringing entire cities to a halt with its sheer intensity.

Need of the hour...

It is high time that we rise above petty politics and raise our concerns regarding matters of grave importance,
70 years and still half of children under the age of 5 are malnourished, people are compelled to live a destitute life and there is no dearth of problems requiring to be solved by some diligent leader. It's our responsibility to understand the rights of youths to learn about our freedoms and to stop someone from abridging them.
Imagine a new India with scientific temperament not a society run by shepherds.

In a democracy all parts of the society must be equally represented, barring young people from engaging in politics will leave a significant percentage of population with no voice. To make a change a protracted change it's imperative that youths are engaged in political process and have a say in formulating tomorrow's India.
